Residents asked to show appreciation of law enforcement ahead of National Police Week

Sen. Anderson hosts ‘Appreciation for your Dedication’ Card Drive

In honor of National Police Week May 9-15, 2021, State Senator Neil Anderson is seeking assistance from the community to send a big thank you to the police officers throughout the 36th Senate District.  That is why Sen. Anderson is hosting an “Appreciation for You Dedication Card Drive” for local police officers.

Residents in the 36th District are encouraged create and mail or drop off cards, handwritten notes, encouraging and uplifting stories, drawings, etc. by May 15 to the Moline District Office (1523 47th Avenue, Suite 2, Moline, IL 61265). Sen. Anderson and his staff will personally be delivering your creations to police officers throughout the district to thank them for all they do to keep our communities safe.

Please note that if delivering cards in-person, drop them in the marked mailbox and remember to maintain social distancing and wear a mask when entering the office.

Sen. Anderson also encourages other members throughout each community to participate (Churches, non-profits, schools, nursing homes, etc.). There is no particular format to follow with these cards, so please feel free to be creative!

Police officers are an integral part of our communities! That’s why Sen. Anderson is asking you to show appreciation and respect for our local police officers in honor of National Police Week May 9-15, 2021.

If you have any questions, or if you’d like to participate in the card drive, please respond to Jacob at jacob36thdistrict@gmail.com.
