Senator Anderson Receives NFIB’s Highest Rating for Supporting Illinois Small Businesses

State Senator Neil Anderson has earned a 100% voting record from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), recognizing his support for Illinois’ small business community during the 2025-2026 legislative session.

“Small businesses are the heart of our local communities,” said Senator Anderson. “They’re the family-owned shops on Main Street, the manufacturers that provide good-paying jobs, and the entrepreneurs willing to invest in our communities. Illinois should be making it easier, not harder, for them to succeed, and I’ll continue working toward that goal.”

NFIB, the state’s leading small business advocacy organization, scores legislators on votes affecting small businesses, including measures related to taxes, regulations, employer mandates, and workforce issues.

Senator Anderson’s perfect score places him among the General Assembly’s strongest supporters of policies backed by Illinois small businesses.

“Senator Anderson’s voting record reflects his commitment to the small businesses in his district,” said NFIB Illinois State Director Noah Finley. “He understands that Main Street is the primary driver of job creation, economic growth, and investment in our local communities.”
