State Senator Neil Anderson has released the following statement regarding the recent decision by the 4th Appellate Court to dismiss the Governor’s appeal to a lawsuit pertaining to COVID-19 mandates in Illinois schools:
“JB Pritzker has mishandled the decision-making process for Covid-19 since day one. Out of the gate he insisted on being the sole decision-maker. He shut out the legislature, he shut out local and countywide elected officials, and he shut out business owners, families and parents.
“Today’s decision by the Appellate Court is welcomed news for parents and children who the Governor has ignored these last two years. The Governor needs to take a back seat instead of doubling down on his quest for power over our schools and students. Enough is enough.”
