State Senator Neil Anderson has released the below statement following the Senate passage of the state’s FY24 budget plan:
“In what’s the largest spending plan in state history, the Democratic Party prioritized spending hundreds of millions of dollars in special interest pork projects and continued with their $1.1 billion illegal immigrant healthcare program at the expense of Illinois taxpayers. Yet, they failed to properly fund our citizens, including the developmentally disabled community, and bring much-needed relief to overburden taxpayers.
“This budget is an insult to the hard-working people of our state and the residents of Illinois deserve better.”
