Sen. Anderson calls for a fair, independent map

Friday, the Illinois Senate approved new legislative maps in a vote that took place just hours after they were filed. In response, State Senator Neil Anderson released the following statement:

“This is the same process that we see time and again in Illinois. To make matters worse, instead of waiting for the release of official Census data later this summer, the Majority is using inaccurate data so they can maintain complete control of the process. We owe it to the people to have a real, independent, and transparent process. I call on the Governor to veto this partisan map and keep his promise to the people of our state.”
