Western Illinois lawmakers and The Kroc Center to host Senior Adult Health Fair Oct. 15 in Quincy

State Senators Jil Tracy of Quincy and Neil Anderson of Andalusia, and State Representatives Randy Frese of Paloma, C.D. Davidsmeyer of Murrayville, and Norine Hammond of Macomb are partnering with The Kroc Center to host a free Senior Adult Health Fair Oct. 15 in Quincy.

The Senior Adult Health Fair is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to noon, Oct. 15, at The Kroc Center located at 405 Vermont Street in Quincy.

“Mark your calendars! The Senior Adult Health Fair helps residents gather useful information, meet with local wellness providers, check out local businesses, as well as visit with friends who are also attending this great event,” Sen. Tracy said. “We serve the senior community better by giving them access in one convenient location to the information and services they need.”

The Senior Adult Health Fair will feature free admission, free refreshments, and free wellness screenings.

“Hosting these events across our communities gives our seniors the opportunity to visit with vendors and healthcare professionals under one roof,” said Sen. Anderson. “Senior Fairs are incredibly important in providing access to critical social services and resources our older community can greatly benefit from.”

“The Kroc Center is a wonderful venue and a great partner in bringing free screenings and other services to Quincy-area seniors. We’re very happy to be teaming up again for a fall Senior Health Fair on October 15,” Rep. Frese said. “This is a great way to take care of your health, save some money, and have some fun at the same time! I hope to see you on the 15th.”

Attendees will also have access to educational materials provided by local vendors, healthcare agencies, and businesses, as well as representatives from local and state government agencies.

“It’s important that my colleagues and I are available to share with our constituents the many services that are available to them, especially with all of the inflationary pressures on everyday goods and energy on those who are on fixed incomes,” commented Rep. Davidsmeyer.

“I am excited to partner with my colleagues and the Kroc Center to provide area seniors with screenings and information from many local vendors on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle,” said Rep. Hammond. “This event is a great opportunity for seniors to gather with friends and take important steps to improve their health.”
