State Senator Neil Anderson (R-Andalusia) has been appointed to serve on the Senate Republican Caucus’ leadership team as the Caucus Chair for the 103rd General Assembly. The appointment was made by newly elected Senate Republican Leader John Curran (R-Downers Grove).
“I want to thank Leader Curran for this appointment and his faith in me to help lead the Senate Republicans during this upcoming General Assembly,” said Senator Anderson. “I look forward to serving in this position as we seek to advance policy ideas that benefit the people of our great state.”
The responsibility of a Caucus Chair is to help lead caucus meetings, develop policies and strategies for members of the caucus, and lead legislative efforts.
“Senator Anderson’s commitment to his values and dedication to our state make him an incredible value to our caucus and the people of Illinois,” said Leader Curran. “He has proven his ability to lead by example and he will move our caucus forward in this new role.”
Senator Anderson joined the Illinois Senate Republican Caucus in 2015. Outside of his duties as a Senator he serves as a professional firefighter, a dad and husband.
