State Senator Neil Anderson and the Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshal are pleased to announce nearly a dozen Small Equipment Grants awarded to fire departments across the 47th District.
“These grants are extremely important to our small rural departments,” said Senator Anderson. “Oftentimes, these districts rely on fundraising efforts, such as fish fries and pancake breakfasts, to support operations or make much-needed equipment upgrades. I am happy to see nearly $250,000 being invested in public safety.”
The following fire departments in the 47th District received grants:
- Cass-Putman Rescue Services NFP – $23,815
- Easton Rural Fire Protection District – $25,992
- Farmington Fire Protection District – $26,000
- Good Hope – Sciota Fire Protection District – $26,000
- Green Valley Fire Protection District – $19,725
- Kewanee Fire Department – $21,455.46
- Limestone Township Fire Protection District – $22,793
- Little York Fire Protection District – $17,280
- Logan – Trivoli Fire Protection District – $14,954
- Mason City Fire Protection District – $24,150
- Nauvoo Fire Protection District – $26,000
