Anderson appointed to Minority Spokesperson on Senate Licensed Activities Committee

State Senator Neil Anderson has been appointed to serve as the Minority Spokesperson for the Senate’s committee on Licensed Activities during the 101st General Assembly.

The Licensed Activities Committee oversees legislation that sets licensing standards for professionals.

“I am honored to serve in this position and look forward to working with my colleagues on issues that face our state’s professions,” said Anderson. “It’s important that we ensure people are meeting suitable standards to be a licensed professional, however, we have to find that fine line where the licensure procedures aren’t too cumbersome.”

Anderson was also appointed to serve as a member of the Veterans Affairs, Transportation, Energy and Public Utilities, and Commerce and Economic Development committees.

“I’m eager to hit the ground running on the most pressing issues that face our state,” said Anderson. “While serving on these committees, I will continue to be an advocate for policies that positively impact our region.”
