‘Coffee & Conversation’ changes due to special session

Due to a special session of the Illinois General Assembly that has been scheduled for Thursday, July 27, Senator Neil Anderson and Representative Tony McCombie will not be in attendance at a “Coffee & Conversation” event that is scheduled for Thursday in Rock Falls.

“As much as I would like to be at this week’s ‘Coffee & Conversation’ in Sterling, I have a duty to my constituents to be in Springfield for the special session days scheduled for this week,” said Anderson.

While Anderson and McCombie will be in Springfield for session and unable to attend in person, Rock Falls Mayor Bill Wescott, as well as representatives from Anderson and McCombie’s offices will be on hand to address any concerns that constituents may have.

“Coffee & Conversation” is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Candlelight Inn in Rock Falls located at 2200 1st Avenue. Coffee and soft drinks will be provided at the event, which is free and open to the public.

Staff from Anderson’s office will be on-hand to provide assistance to constituents seeking help with issues related to a number of state government agencies, including veterans’ issues and concealed carry applications.

Constituents wishing to apply for their concealed carry license must bring with them certain documentation, including their certificates of training signed by the trainers and applicants, and their driver’s licenses.
