Anderson on End of Session

Senator Neil Anderson (Andalusia) offered the following comments as the Illinois Senate adjourned on the last scheduled day of the spring legislative session:

“We just adjourned on the last scheduled day of the spring legislative session and I have to say, I’m disappointed. Once again, we ended May without a budget. While we have made progress on some issues, the people of this state deserve much more. They deserve leaders who will put partisanship aside and put the people of Illinois first to pass a real balanced budget,” said Anderson. “There is still time to get this done before July 1, but that means getting serious about addressing the budget crisis facing our state and getting back to the table right away to do what is best for the people of this state.”
